As an Ideal Positions’ SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Department Team Member, Travis focuses on initiating website placement for new clients and fulfilling requested changes and updates for current clients on Google and Yahoo/bing. He also spends much of his day monitoring client accounts in the search engine interfaces to ensure our clients’ goals regarding positioning, traffic, and conversion are met in a cost-effective way. Having worked in the search engine interfaces since 2006, he has the tools and intuition required for effective troubleshooting and staging of clients’ marketing campaigns. Travis now works remotely from Missoula, Montana.
Owner and SEM Department Manager
As Ideal Positions’ Owner and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Department Manager, Josh is responsible for smooth and timely operations within the SEM Department, and successful coordination of the SEM/Web Development Departments with the Customer Service/Administrative Departments. Besides creating and implementing new departmental policies and procedures, he ensures that all Account Managers are trained and educated in all aspects of Pay-Per-Click Management and Search Engine Marketing. Josh is also often the “go-to” Account Manager for all of the company’s accounts. He is fondly referred to as the “Yoda” of the SEM Department. His calm demeanor and steady, reliable work ethic contribute to the confidence and positivity of the SEM staff members.
SEM Team Member
As an Ideal Positions’ SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Department Team Member, Ian focuses on initiating website placement for new clients and fulfilling requested changes and updates for current clients on Yahoo, Google, and Bing. He also spends much of his day monitoring client accounts in the search engine interfaces to ensure our clients receive the best possible positioning, and that those positions are cost-effective. Ian’s passion for gaming in his off time has helped him learn to quickly identify patterns, and make adjustments to benefit client accounts.
Operations and Innovation Director
As Ideal Positions’ Operations and Innovation Director, Mara is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, developing new strategies and procedures to keep Ideal Positions on the cutting edge of the industry, as well monitoring and optimizing select client accounts. She works closely with the Owner and other Managers to ensure that staff are employing the best account management techniques and providing the highest quality customer service. Working in multiple departments within Ideal Positions since originally hired in 2010, Mara is quick to take on any challenge (no matter the size), and always helps out wherever needed.
Her passion for Search Engine Marketing and her dedication to our clients and team make her an invaluable member of the Ideal Positions family.
As an Ideal Positions’ Web Development Team Member, Brian’s roles include web and graphic design, application development and technical support. Hailing from the southern shores of Ireland, Brian has over 9 years of experience in the area of interactive design and has worked with a wide range of clients ranging from small businesses to large public sector agencies.
As a Campaign Strategist, Sara works diligently to support the specific marketing goals and needs of our clients. Sara spends much of her time hand-crafting, analyzing and closely monitoring client campaigns and making determinations on ways to further optimize account performance, increase conversions, and generate the best possible ROI.
As a Sales Manager, Nick co-manages Ideal Positions’ Customer Service Representatives. Having spent four years as a Customer Service Representative with Ideal Positions prior to being promoted to Sales Manager, Nick’s got the boots-on-the-ground experience to ensure he’s always looking out for customers first. Nick is responsible for hiring, motivating, managing, and training Customer Service Representatives; providing prompt, personalized customer service for clients; and making day-to-day decisions to ensure the Sales Department runs smoothly and efficiently. Assistant Sales Manager & Campaign Strategist
As a Campaign Strategist, Patrick is responsible for reviewing our client’s accounts and monitoring their performance and then communicating his suggested account modifications to our clients. These suggested changes are always aimed at optimizing account performance and increasing ROI. He also assists clients with questions about their advertising, and he is often heard in long conversations with clients explaining such topics as the difference between match types, how to improve quality scores, recent changes to click-through-rates, and advertising best practices and guidelines as defined by each of the search engines.
In May of 2017, Patrick celebrated his twelfth anniversary with Ideal Positions.

Her six years of experience working in the search engine interfaces have given her the tools and intuition required for effective troubleshooting and staging of clients’ marketing campaigns.
As an Ideal Positions’ Campaign Strategist, Heather not only monitors and optimizes client accounts, but also communicates with clients directly to ensure that whether advertising in Google, Yahoo!, or Bing, client needs are matched with superior account performance. She has worn many hats at Ideal Positions by aiding in sales, providing administrative support, and assisting clients and coworkers in all aspects of campaign management.
This enables her to understand each campaign from the start, and use that knowledge to provide inspired customer service to clients and greater support to the entirety of the Ideal Positions’ team.
